Ace Window Cleaners (“we”, “us”) provides window cleaning services in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you use our quote calculator or contact form, we collect:

your name, email address and phone number (phone is optional on the enquiry form)
the address of the property to be cleaned
details about the job: number of storeys, bedrooms, floor area, the service you chose, whether you hold a SuperGold card, your preferred date and time, and any notes you add
the quote that was calculated for you
the message you write, if you use the general enquiry form

We also collect some information automatically: the page you were on when you sent the form, and, if you arrived from an advertisement or campaign link, the campaign details (such as utm_source or a Google click ID). If you use our website, our hosting and analytics tools may also record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type.

Why we collect it

to give you a quote and arrange, confirm and carry out your booking
to reply to your enquiry
to send you messages about your booking, such as a confirmation or a change of time
to keep records of the work we do, including for invoicing and tax
to understand how people find our website and to improve it
to protect the website and our forms from spam and abuse

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the website and handle your enquiry. They process information on our behalf:

Vercel, which hosts this website.
Make.com, an automation service that receives your booking request or enquiry and passes it to our email and our booking records.
Our email provider, which delivers the emails we send and receive.
Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that tells real visitors from bots. It may process technical information from your browser.
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, if switched on, to understand how the website is used.

Some of these providers store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States and Europe. We only use providers that have reasonable privacy and security protections in place. We may also share information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and enquiry records for as long as we need them to provide our service, answer questions, and meet our legal and tax obligations, which is usually up to seven years for job and invoice records. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within a reasonable time.

Cookies and tracking

We use only the browser storage and cookies needed to make the website and forms work and, if enabled, to measure how the site is used. We store campaign details from the first page of your visit in your browser for the duration of your visit so that we know which advertisement or link brought you here. You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings; the website will still work.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our forms are sent over an encrypted connection, and access to booking information is limited to people who need it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete it, and we will do so unless we need to keep it for legal or tax reasons. To do any of these, contact us using the details below.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
